Greenacre Walks - Judges Walk

GREENACR
WALK

 Judges Walk

Sunday 12th November 2017.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better - it does. Due to popular demand - a second Greenacres Autumn Walk - THE JUDGE'S WALK. Meet outside East Finchley tube station, Sunday 12th November at 10-50am for an 11-00am start.

Please note earlier start time. The clocks go back at the end of October, it gets dark earlier and, most important of all, the Golders Hill Park Cafe closes at 4pm.

For The Judges Walk we take a break from our exploration of disused railway lines and uncover green treasures a little closer to home. We start at East Finchley tube station and head south to Hampstead Heath for an exploration of West Heath. There is a very old and picturesque footpath on the very edge of the Heath called Judges Walk and this is the furthest point from the starting point on this walk.

We will stop for packed lunch in the Hill Garden. Don't forget to bring packed lunch. There are toilets on the Heath Extension, at a point which is conveniently located about half way round our circuit and, of course at the cafe at the end. There will be readings on route and maybe one or two surprises along the way. This is another FAB walk with plenty to see and it looks good at this time of the year. Where else could you see: a brook, water features, ponds, lakes, water gardens, playing fields, parkland, heathland, garden suburb, deep dark woods, tree lined footpaths, formal gardens, carved wooden bears and real live deer - all in the space of four hours?
Don't forget to bring a bus pass or Oyster card and a bottle of water! The cost of this walk is £4.00 per person.
